Our Story
The story of the Lodge began many years ago, brought about by unexpected turns of events and a desire to bring people together in a place where they can fully connect and enjoy life.
Owners Kenny and Sonya have always had a passion for helping children. Having experienced the power of being given a chance at life themselves, they wanted to do the same for others and Kenny has always been involved in children’s charities. It was only natural that their daughter Chloe would share this passion.
Wanting to do her bit to help, ten year old, Chloe decided to set up a lemonade stand outside the family home to raise money for the local hospice. Little did they know how appealing this would be to the many cyclists who pass by every week! The lemonade stand was a huge success and became a much-loved feature in the local community.
As Chloe got older, she wanted to do more to help and convinced her parents to create a camping site on their land. It would be a special place for the children in the hospice and their families to come and enjoy spending quality time together in beautiful surroundings. This idea took off too, and the campsite has hosted hundreds of people from all over Northern Ireland and beyond.
These experiences cemented the family’s belief in the power of connection and how important it is for families to have space to enjoy time together. This is where the idea for the Lodge evolved and to this day remains a core value that drives everything it represents – family, connection and time spent in nature.

Our ambition with the Lodge is to provide an escape from daily life while also providing people with an opportunity to connect with the people who matter most to them. And to do this in a truly luxurious style surrounded by nature.
